Blackberry 4G

What is 4G?

4G is the fourth generation of mobile phones communications. It is a wireless broadband technology that allows high-speed data services. It enables users to download and upload data up to 70 times faster than EDGE speeds, so that they can experience rich multimedia and larger files.

4G and my BlackBerry

Signing up for data plan allows you to be able to enjoy faster web browsing, view YouTube videos without extensive buffering delays, enjoy faster download speeds for you photos, music tracks, apps and documents, enjoy video streaming and gaming capabilities, It is all about data to enhance your productivity and entertainment.
Please note that the data experience all depends on the device that you choose.

Accessing 4G

Once you have a 3G or 4G capable handset and you sign up for a bmobile 4G data plan, you will see either ’3G’, ’4G’, ‘H’ or ‘H+’ on the top right corner of your screen. You can check your network settings on your device as follows:

  • Press the MENU key or ”Options’
  • Scroll to and select ‘Manage Connections’
  • Scroll to and select ‘Network and Connections’
  • Scroll to and select ‘Mobile Networks’
  • Scroll to and select ‘Network Mode’
  • Choose ’3G & 2G’ or ’3G/4G & 2G’ Setting

You are now ready to enjoy bmobile 4G…Imagine Next.

Note:To access 4G data; your network mode must be set to ‘Dual mode’ or ‘3G & 2G’ (depending on your handset) and NOT ‘2G only’ or ’3G only’.

How to Sign Up

All postpaid customers must sign up if they require 4G data service by doing any one of the following:

  • Call our Customer call Centre at 824-TSTT
  • Send a text message/SMS ’4G’ to 3282. You will receive a confirmation text acknowledging receipt and a service rep will call you within 24 hours
  • Come in to any of our flagship bmobile stores

Note: For the Corporate BES Plan, please contact your account manager.

Note:

  • **Prepaid monthly allowance includes the recurring fee of $59 plus $20 for 4G monthly data access
  • There are no restrictions on browsing with 4G data
  • Additional bundles available for purchase via USSD purchase *DATA# (3282).
